Visual-Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping
Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) is one of the fundamental problems in autonomous mobile robots where a robot needs to reconstruct a previously unseen environment while simultaneously localising itself with respect to the map. In particular, Visual-SLAM uses various sensors from the mobile robot for collecting and sensing a representation of the map.

Visual Tracking Related to Age or Gender Information
Visual tracking of multiple targets, also referred to as multiple object tracking (MOT), since the target can be any moving object or entity, is a well-investigated computer vision task. Actually, the goal is to detect one or more targets in a time-variate scene and then obtain their trajectories in terms of following their tracklets, for a given video sequence. This is completed by associating newly detected instances with current ones. Typically, the association part assumes a prediction task whose aim is to favor the most possible correspondence among detections of consecutive frames for a given target. When the targets of interest are real people, resulting detections from this procedure are usually post-processed so as to extract useful information related, for instance, with their age or gender.

Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping
Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM) methods refer to the SLAM approaches that employ cameras for pose estimation and map reconstruction and are preferred over Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR)-based methods due to their lighter weight, lower acquisition costs, and richer environment representation.

Visual Question Answering
Visual question answering (VQA) is a task that generates or predicts an answer to a question in human language about visual images. VQA is an active field combining two AI branches: Natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision. VQA usually has four components: vision featurization, text featurization, fusion model, and classifier. Vision featurization is a part of the multi-model responsible for extracting the vision features. Text featurization is another part of the VQA multi-model responsible for extracting text features. The combination of both features and their processes is the fusion component. The last component is the classifier that classifies the queries about the images and generates the answer.

Visual Basic
User:RMCD bot/subject notice Visual Basic (also referred to as Classic Visual Basic) is a third-generation event-driven programming language from Microsoft known for its Component Object Model (COM) programming model first released in 1991 and declared legacy during 2008. Microsoft intended Visual Basic to be relatively easy to learn and use. Visual Basic was derived from BASIC and enables the rapid application development (RAD) of graphical user interface (GUI) applications, access to databases using Data Access Objects, Remote Data Objects, or ActiveX Data Objects, and creation of ActiveX controls and objects. A programmer can create an application using the components provided by the Visual Basic program itself. Over time the community of programmers developed third-party components. Programs written in Visual Basic can also make use of the Windows API, which requires external functions declarations. The final release was version 6 in 1998 (now known simply as Visual Basic). On April 8, 2008, Microsoft stopped supporting Visual Basic 6.0 IDE. The Microsoft Visual Basic team still maintains compatibility for Visual Basic 6.0 applications through its "It Just Works" program on supported Windows operating systems. In 2014, some software developers still preferred Visual Basic 6.0 over its successor, Visual Basic .NET. In 2014 some developers lobbied for a new version of the VB6 programming environment. In 2016, Visual Basic 6.0 won the technical impact award at The 19th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Visual Basic 6.0 was selected as the most dreaded programming language by respondents of Stack Overflow's annual developer survey in 2016, 2017, and 2018. A dialect of Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), is used as a macro or scripting language within several Microsoft and ISV applications, including Microsoft Office.

Visiting Heritage Sites in AR and VR
Advances in digitization technologies have made possible the digitization of entire archaeological sites through a combination of technologies, including aerial photogrammetry, terrestrial photogrammetry, and terrestrial laser scanning. At the same time, the evolution of computer algorithms for data processing and the increased processing power made possible the combination of data from multiple scans to create a synthetic representation of large-scale sites.  This route was opened by the gaming industry. In terms of research, the exploitation of these new assets in conjunction with new visual rendering technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality, can create new dimensions for education and leisure.

Vision-Based Structural Vibration Tracking Using a Digital Camera
Computer-vision-based target tracking can be applied to structural vibration monitoring, but current target tracking methods suffer from noise in digital image processing. A new target-tracking method based on the sparse optical flow technique is introduced to improve the accuracy in tracking the target, especially when the target has a large displacement. The proposed method utilizes the ORB technique to maintain a variety of keypoints and combines the multi-level strategy with a sparse optical flow algorithm to search the keypoints with a large motion vector for tracking. Then, an outlier removal method based on Hamming distance and interquartile range (IQR) score is introduced to minimize the error. The proposed target tracking method is verified through a lab experiment---a three-story shear building structure subjected to various harmonic excitations. It is compared with existing sparse optical flow-based target tracking methods and target tracking methods based on three other types of techniques, i.e., feature matching, dense optical flow, and template matching. The results show that the performance of target tracking is greatly improved through the use of a multi-level strategy and the proposed outlier removal method. The proposed sparse optical flow-based target tracking method achieves the best accuracy compared to other existing target tracking methods.

Vision-Based Pose Estimation of Non-Cooperative Target
In the realm of non-cooperative space security and on-orbit service, a significant challenge is accurately determining the pose of abandoned satellites using imaging sensors. Traditional methods for estimating the position of the target encounter problems with stray light interference in space, leading to inaccurate results.
