Classification of Lindane Based on the Isomeric Form
Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) is an artificial organic pollutant also called hexachlorane. It has eight isomeric forms, but of these eight isomeric forms, four α, -β, -γ, and δ-HCHs are the most prevalent. From this compound, γ-HCH (also known as lindane) is the most constant and commonly used compound, and it is the supreme isomer. Lindane is a broad-spectrum chlorinated insecticide that has a mixture of several chemical forms of HCH and is written as γ-Hexachlorocyclohexane or γ-HCH. Organic pollutants are normally pesticides, insecticides, or fertilizer, but HCH is an insecticide that is used on fruits, plants, and animals. Lindane is one of the earliest generations of chlorinated organic insecticides, appearing shortly after the end of World War II. All of the pollutants have the same physical and chemical properties. Therefore, it has also had PBT (Persistent, Bioaccumulative, and Toxic) properties.

Alternative Materials from Agro-Industry for Wood Panel Manufacturing
The growing demand for wood-based panels for buildings and furniture and the increasing worldwide concern for reducing the pressure on forest resources require alternatives to wood raw materials. The agricultural industry not only can provide raw materials from non-wood plants but also numerous residues and side streams. An overview of the availability was supplied, chemical composition, and fiber characteristics of non-wood lignocellulosic materials and agricultural residues, i.e., grow care residues, harvest residues, and process residues, and their relevance for use in wood panel manufacturing. During the crop harvest, there are millions of tons of residues in the form of stalks, among other things. Usually, these are only available seasonally without using storage capacity. Process residues, on the other hand, can be taken from ongoing production and processed further. Fiber characteristics and chemical composition affect the panel properties. Alternatives to wood with long fibers and high cellulose content offer sufficient mechanical strength in different panel types. In general, the addition of wood substitutes up to approximately 30% provides panels with the required strength properties. However, other parameters must be considered, such as pressing temperature, adhesive type, press levels, and pretreatments of the raw material.

Cermet and Cercer Dual-Phase Membrane
Based on different permeation mechanism, membrane for hydrogen separation can be categorized as mixed protonic–electronic conducting (MPEC) membrane, dense metal membrane, and porous inorganic membrane. Each membrane also has its own advantages and disadvantages. Cermet membrane is composed of a ceramic phase and a metal phase. The ceramic phase is benefit to improve the mechanical stability and high protonic conductivity of the membrane while the metal phase is used to enhance the electronic conductivity and surface-exchange kinetic. In order to overcome the drawbacks of cermet membranes, researchers developed another kind of dual-phase membrane (cercer membranes), in which a ceramic with high electronic conductivity replaces the metal as the electronic conducting phase.
