Large-Scale Li-Ion Battery in Mining Industry
The lithium-ion battery (LIB) has the advantages of high energy density, low self-discharge rate, long cycle life, fast charging rate and low maintenance costs. It is one of the most widely used chemical energy storage devices at present. The safety of LIB is the main factor that restricts its commercial scalable application, specifically in hazardous environments such as underground coal mines.

Intelligent Management in the Mining 4.0
The achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, embodied in “end-to-end” digital and convergent technologies, are able to ensure the stable development of the mineral resource sector in the face of fluctuations in raw material demand and the profitability of mining enterprises, strengthening environmental safety legislation. Mining 4.0 is also a response to the technological shocks associated with the accelerated digital modernization of the manufacturing and infrastructure industries. Mining 4.0 is a relatively new platform that allows, with the help of digital innovations, to move to more advanced production optimization.

Impact of Mining on Withdrawal Roadway
The withdrawal roadway is a specialized mining roadway arranged at the stop-mining line of a coal mining face. It serves as a direct connection to the gob after the completion of mining operations, providing crucial spatial support for withdrawing the mining equipment. The roof control of the withdrawal roadway is an important guarantee for the safe and rapid retreat of the mining equipment from the working face. However, during the final mining period, the withdrawal roadway will be connected to the coal mining face, which will cause severe deformation, fracture, and instability of the surrounding rock in this roadway due to strong mining influence. This poses a formidable challenge for roof control and has been a persistent issue affecting mine production.

High-Purity Quartz Processing Technology
Quartz deposits are widely dispersed in nature, but the presence of ore bodies capable of yielding high-purity quartz is exceedingly rare. As a result, the effective purification and processing of high-purity quartz from natural siliceous materials has emerged as a prominent area of research within the non-metallic mineral processing field.

Gravity Concentration Techniques in Urban Mining Applications
Urban mining has emerged as a concept that goes beyond conventional recycling, as it aims to tackle both the challenges of solid waste generation and management, as well as the scarcity of primary resources. Gravity concentration has gained increasing attention as a promising method for addressing crucial challenges in urban mining applications. Gravity concentration has a long history, dating back to ancient times. During this time, numerous methods have been developed, and for each method, various equipment has been manufactured and commercialized. Therefore, categorizing gravity concentration techniques is not an easy task, and it ultimately depends on the criteria that one relies upon. Such criteria may include whether the operation is dry or wet, the capacity of the equipment, the typical efficiency (the efficiency of gravity concentration equipment can be evaluated using the partition or Tromp curve method. In this, the separation is assessed by examining the fraction of material in each density fraction that ends up in the product, and how this relates to the original fraction present in the feed. More details can be found in mineral processing textbooks), the process target (yield or content), the costs involved, and others. Of these criteria, the operating size range is the most critical factor that should be considered when selecting appropriate gravity concentration techniques for a given application.

Froth Washing in Flotation
Froth flotation is a mineral processing technique that is popular when processing low-grade ores. It involves introducing chemically treated, finely ground ore in the form of a slurry into a flotation cell where the air is also added in the form of bubbles. The cell is agitated resulting in the air bubbles rising to the top and creating a froth, as bubbles rise, hydrophilic particles attach to the rising bubbles creating a froth which is collected in the weir or using launders for further treatment. The froth is washed using various froth-washing techniques to reduce entrainment and improve the grade of the froth. Froth washing can be achieved using froth washing jets or froth washing trays, this can be achieved internally/externally with regards to the position in the froth layer.

Ferroelastic Twinning in Minerals
Ferroelastic twinning in minerals is a very common phenomenon. The twin laws follow simple symmetry rules and they are observed in minerals, like feldspar, palmierite, leucite, perovskite, and so forth. The major discovery over the last two decades was that the thin areas between the twins yield characteristic physical and chemical properties, but not the twins themselves. Research greatly focusses on these twin walls (or ‘twin boundaries’); therefore, because they possess different crystal structures and generate a large variety of ‘emerging’ properties. Research on wall properties has largely overshadowed research on twin domains.

Factors envolved in Coal Slurry Flocculation Process
Coal slurry is a mixture of finely grained coal and other minerals suspended and/or sediment in the water, generated during the coal preparation processes, accounting for more than half of mining operating cost. Dewatering technology is simultaneously confronted with obstacles and possibilities, and it may yet be improved as the crucial step for reducing the ultimate processing cost. Coagulation/flocculation is a process in which solid and liquid parts of a solution are separated using different types of coagulants and flocculants.
