Shape-Informed Dimensional Reduction in Airfoil/Hydrofoil Modeling Approachs
Parametric models have been widely used in pertinent literature for reconstructing, modifying and representing a wide range of airfoil and/or hydrofoil profile geometries. Design spaces corresponding to these models can be exploited for modeling and profile-shape optimization under various performance criteria. Accuracy requirements, along with the need for modeling local features, often lead to high-dimensional design spaces that hinder the process of shape optimization and design through analysis.

Stepping-Stone Intrusion Detection Resistant to Intruders’ Chaff-Perturbation
Using stepping-stone intrusion (SSI), the intruder’s identity is very difficult to discover as it is concealed by a long interactive connection chain of hosts. An effective approach for SSI detection (SSID) is to determine how many connections are contained in a connection chain.

Agricultural Image Segmentation
The Segment Anything Model (SAM) is a versatile image segmentation model that enables zero-shot segmentation of various objects in any image using prompts, including bounding boxes, points, texts, and more. However, studies have shown that the SAM performs poorly in agricultural tasks like crop disease segmentation and pest segmentation. To address this issue, the agricultural SAM adapter (ASA) is proposed, which incorporates agricultural domain expertise into the segmentation model through a simple but effective adapter technique.

Fruit and Vegetable Harvesting Robots
Intelligent agriculture imposes higher requirements on the recognition and localization of fruit and vegetable picking robots. Due to its unique visual information and relatively low hardware cost, machine vision is widely applied in the recognition and localization of fruit and vegetable picking robots.  Visual sensors are used to acquire image information and the three-dimensional positioning of targets. Machine vision algorithms are used for target recognition. Common algorithms include image segmentation, object detection, and three-dimensional reconstruction. Image segmentation algorithms can segment target objects in complex scenes, object detection algorithms can timely detect target objects and other interferences in images, while three-dimensional reconstruction algorithms can convert the two-dimensional image information obtained by the camera into three-dimensional spatial information of the target.
