Preparedness Strategies for Changing Climate in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s evolving climate narrative offers a microcosm of the broader challenges facing our global ecosystem. While nations around the world grapple with their unique climate challenges, the Kingdom’s experiences—including its policy shifts, infrastructural innovations, and societal adaptations—provide both a cautionary tale and a roadmap. In particular, its endeavors to retrofit cities, preserve water resources, and promote climate-conscious policies present actionable insights for nations at various junctures of their environmental journeys.

Prebiotics and on Their Health Effects
Prebiotic compounds were originally defined as “a nondigestible food ingredient that beneficially affects the host by selectively stimulating the growth and/or activity of one or a limited number of bacteria in the colon, and thus improves host health”; however, a significant modulation of the definition was carried out in the consensus panel of The International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP), and the last definition states that “prebiotics are substrates that are selectively utilized by host microorganisms conferring a health benefit”.

Reasons for Delayed Diagnosis of Pediatric Acute Appendicitis
Reasons delaying the diagnosis of pediatric appendicitis were discerned. Each cause will be discussed separately although it must be noted that there is a significant overlap between them. Time to hospital admission, duration of symptoms and hospitalization time until surgery will be discussed further as indicative measures of delayed diagnosis. Patient outcomes as conveyed by selected studies will be cited in relation to time to hospital admission so that the reader can appraise their potential importance.

Eye-Tracking-Based Trail-Making Test to Detect Cognitive Impairment
The growing number of people with cognitive impairment will significantly increase healthcare demand. Screening tools are crucial for detecting cognitive impairment due to a shortage of mental health experts aiming to improve the quality of life for those living with this condition. Eye tracking is a powerful tool that can provide deeper insights into human behavior and inner cognitive processes. The proposed Eye-Tracking-Based Trail-Making Test, ETMT, is a screening tool for monitoring a person’s cognitive function.

Child-Friendly Streetscape in Migrant Workers’ Communities in China
Designing child-friendly streetscapes is a pragmatic and effective approach to addressing the limited outdoor play spaces and social exclusion experienced by migrant children living in vulnerable residential areas. Addressing the development and well-being of all children in urban communities is important for the sustainable development of cities and society. A growing body of research emphasizes the need for urban planning strategies and community initiatives that promote safe and accessible play spaces for children, as well as social integration policies and support networks, thereby fostering children’s overall well-being.

Ordinary Teachers' Evidence-Based Intervention on Mental Health Literacy
The immediate effect of the intervention on promoting students’ mental health knowledge was significant, but the amount of delay effect is not significant. Ordinary classroom teachers can effectively participate in projects to improve students’ mental health literacy, significantly improve students’ mental health knowledge and attitudes towards psychological problems, and make up for the shortage of full-time mental health teachers in schools. More attention should be paid to students’ mental health literacy, and evidence-based intervention research should be strengthened. Furthermore, researchers can improve students’ mental health literacy and avoid poor mental health by addressing delays in early intervention, as well as improve experimental design, prolong the intervention time, and improve the effectiveness of the intervention.

Role of IMs for Evaluation of DW Safety
Water safety and quality are essential for human development, well-being, and ecosystem health. Ensuring access to safe water is one of the most effective measures to promote health and reduce poverty. The contamination level of raw water directly influences the efficiency of drinking water (DW) treatment, subsequently impacting the quality of the produced DW. The microbiological quality assessment of DW and drinking water sources (DWSs) is based on the detection of indicator microorganisms (IMs). However, the relationship between IMs and pathogens has been questioned, as pathogens have been detected even in the absence of IMs, and vice versa.

Development of Intrapersonal Intelligence
Intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence are two of the eight multiple intelligences that Gardner describes. The first of them refers to an individual’s ability to understand themselves, their emotions, motivations, strengths, weaknesses, and thoughts.
