Segmentation of brain tumor images from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a challenging topic in medical image analysis. The brain tumor can take many shapes, and MRI images vary considerably in intensity, making lesion detection difficult for radiologists. Image segmentation is the action of grouping pixels according to predefined criteria, in order to build regions or classes of pixels. There are several methods of image segmentation: methods based on contours, regions, classification, or hybrid. Segmentation and its automation remain today one of the major challenges in MRI, mainly in relation to brain tumor images, in order to help the practitioner in his daily practice, in the presence of a huge volume of images.

Early detection of people’s suspicious behaviors can aid in the prevention of crimes and make the community safer. Existing methods are mostly focused on identifying abnormal behaviors from video surveillance that are based on computer vision, which are more suitable for detecting ongoing behaviors.  Due to advances in positioning technology and the increasing number of cameras, smart mobile terminals, and WLAN networks, large amounts of fine-grained personal trajectory data are collected. Such a large number of trajectories provide people with an unprecedented opportunity to automatically discover helpful knowledge, such as identifying suspicious movements and unusual activities. Therefore, crimes can be prevented if people’s suspicious behaviors can be automatically detected by mining the semantic information that is hidden in the trajectory data.

Conventional food supply chains are centralized in nature and possess challenges pertaining to a single point of failure, product irregularities, quality compromises, and loss of data. Numerous cases of food fraud, contamination, and adulteration are daily reported from multiple parts of India, suggesting the absolute need for an upgraded decentralized supply chain model. A country such as India, where its biggest strength is its demographic dividend, cannot afford to malnutrition a large population of its children by allowing them to consume contaminated and adulterated dairy products. In view of the gravity of the situation, a blockchain-enabled supply chain platform for the dairy industry was proposed. With respect to the supply chain platform, the dairy products of choice include milk, cheese, and butter. Blockchain is one of the fastest growing technologies having widespread acceptance across multiple industry verticals.
