Assess Hypernasality
Automatic evaluation of hypernasality has been traditionally computed using monophonic signals (i.e., combining nose and mouth signals).

Non-Stationary Multipath 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks
In non-terrestrial networks, where low Earth orbit satellites and user equipment move relative to each other, line-of-sight tracking and adapting to channel state variations due to endpoint movements are a major challenge.

Livability in a Smart Environment
Public spaces play a significant role in improving social, recreational and cultural activities that are inclusive. However, smart public spaces are required to save time and costs, and to provide comfort to the public, ultimately enhancing livability. There are various user requirements and demands to respond to.

The Concept of a Dual-Core PLC
IEC 61131-3-compliant engineering environments consist of IDE (integrated development environment) with language editors, compiler of source programs into binary code, and runtime for execution of the code. In a dual-core PLC proposed here, the cores run different projects cooperating by shared memory.

2.5D Multi-Objective Path Planning for Ground Vehicles
Due to the vastly different energy consumption between up-slope and down-slope, a path with the shortest length in a complex off-road terrain environment (2.5D map) is not always the path with the least energy consumption. For any energy-sensitive vehicle, realizing a good trade-off between distance and energy consumption in 2.5D path planning is significantly meaningful.

Nanoencapsulated Phase-Change Materials
Phase-change materials (PCMs) are becoming more widely acknowledged as essential elements in thermal energy storage, greatly aiding the pursuit of lower building energy consumption and the achievement of net-zero energy goals. PCMs are frequently constrained by their subpar heat conductivity, despite their expanding importance.

Impact of Mining on Withdrawal Roadway
The withdrawal roadway is a specialized mining roadway arranged at the stop-mining line of a coal mining face. It serves as a direct connection to the gob after the completion of mining operations, providing crucial spatial support for withdrawing the mining equipment. The roof control of the withdrawal roadway is an important guarantee for the safe and rapid retreat of the mining equipment from the working face. However, during the final mining period, the withdrawal roadway will be connected to the coal mining face, which will cause severe deformation, fracture, and instability of the surrounding rock in this roadway due to strong mining influence. This poses a formidable challenge for roof control and has been a persistent issue affecting mine production.

Intelligent Wearable Systems for Diagnosis of Peripheral Neuropathy
The automated diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy (PN) has been performed in many studies where only a single sensor or technique is used for the data acquisition purpose. These techniques are based on analyzing foot plantar pressure or gait analysis, vibration- and sensitivity-based confocal microscopic image processing, thermal image processing, ultrasound scanner, and nerve conduction studies (NCS) or electromyography (EMG). However, in order to diagnose peripheral neuropathy, a continuous source of data is necessary to diagnose and track the progression of PN. Image-based approaches can provide a feasible way of detecting PN. In a number of research studies, a subject’s gait is analyzed using cameras, but, due to the camera’s limited field of view, it cannot provide continuous data which can result in missed data points. Similarly, other non-wearable techniques such as vibration- or perception-based methods and thermal images provide suitable ways for the detection of PN, but these types of methods are not suitable for long-term data collection which is vital for the diagnosis and progression of PN. For this purpose, wearable sensors are the most suitable way to collect continuous data, as wearable devices are designed in such a way that they can be easily worn by patients and attached to the human body directly. They also provide a way to collect and store patient activity data for later use.

Digital Circular Business Models
The concept of circular economy (CE) is receiving increasing attention worldwide as a way to overcome the issues of the current production and consumption model. It requires companies to rethink their supply chains and business models (BM). The CE is a regenerative economic system that necessitates a paradigm shift to replace the end of life (EoL) concept with reducing, alternatively reusing, recycling, and recovering materials throughout the supply chain, with the aim of promoting value maintenance and sustainable development, creating environmental quality, economic development, and social equity, to the benefit of current and future generations.

Technical–Operational Characteristics of Charcoal Production Systems
The global charcoal trade is steadily growing, with high-income countries importing significant quantities of this material from regions where its production is often associated with severe environmental issues, including forest overexploitation, illegal logging, and environmental pollution. Promoting local charcoal production in high-income countries is crucial to addressing these challenges.
