Radioactive Waste Containing Graphite Management
Since the beginning of the nuclear industry, graphite has been widely used as a moderator and reflector of neutrons in nuclear power reactors. Some reactors are relatively old and have already been shut down. As a result, a large amount of irradiated graphite has been generated. Although several thousand papers in the International Nuclear Information Service (INIS) database have discussed the management of radioactive waste containing graphite, knowledge of this problem is not common.

Energy Resources in Algeria
Algeria is a wealthy country with natural resources, namely, nuclear, renewable, and non-renewable sources. The non-renewable energy sources are considered the lion’s share for energy production (98%). Algeria’s efforts to ensure and strengthen its energy security will take an important step in the coming decades by commissioning new energy infrastructure based on intensive use of water, coal, nuclear, non-renewable, and renewable sources.

Properties and Characteristics of C6F12O
In order to cope with the problem that no gas fire suppressant can be used in the future, perfluoro-2-methyl-3-pentanone (C6F12O), also known as FK-5112, Novec 1230 or Novec 649, with its environmentally friendly performance, zero ODP, GWP of approximately one and atmospheric lifetime of up to two weeks (as shown in Table 1), has been considered as the next generation of halon alternatives. C6F12O belongs to fluorinated ketones which is different to HFCs. Its nontoxicity, noncombustibility, excellent insulation properties and fire suppression efficiency have attracted worldwide attention. The thermophysical parameters, safety and environmental issues and other properties such as the dispersion characteristics of C6F12O are important indexes to evaluate whether it is appropriate to replace the halon. Meanwhile, these properties and parameters are critical to determine the application scenes of fire suppressant, the selection of fire extinguishment facilities and the engineering calculation of the fire extinguishment system.

Mechanical Methods of Oil Extraction from Peanuts
Peanuts, being crucial crops of global importance, have gained widespread recognition for their versatility and nutritional value. In addition to direct consumption, either with or without treatment, peanuts can be the subject of diverse applications focusing mainly on two distinct objectives: oil extraction and defatting processes. Mechanical techniques for oil extraction from peanuts are grouped into three main sections: extrusion and screw pressing, cold pressing, and hydraulic pressing.

Heterogeneous Networks
Communication technologies have drastically increased the number of wireless networks. Heterogeneous networks have now become an indispensable fact while designing the new networks and the way the data packet moves from device to device opens new challenges for transmitting the packet speedily, with maximum throughput and by consuming only confined energy.

Aluminum-Fuel-Based Energy Conversion Systems
Metallic aluminum is widely used in propellants, energy-containing materials, and batteries due to its high energy density. In addition to burning in the air, aluminum can react with water to generate hydrogen. Aluminum is carbon-free and the solid-phase products can be recycled easily after the reaction. Micron aluminum powder is stable in the air and enables global trade. Aluminum metal is considered to be a viable recyclable carrier for clean energy.

Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Ti6Al4V by LPBF
Ti6Al4V alloy is an ideal lightweight structural metal for a huge variety of engineering applications due to its distinguishing combination of high specific mechanical properties, excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) provides very different mechanical properties from that of casting or wrought Ti6Al4V. The inherent specificities of the LPBF process, as the layer-by-layer building strategy; the powder feedstock; the melting phenomena and thermal gradients, define the mechanical properties, once they will dictate the microstructural features (e.g. grain size, crystal growth direction, residual porosity and defects, among other).

Journal Micromachines
Micromachines (ISSN 2072-666X) first launched in 2010,initially published as a quarterly journal, and received 1st Impact Factor in July 2014. In 2015,Micromachines was transferred to a monthly journal. Micromachines (ISSN 2072-666X) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, which provides an advanced forum for studies on micro/nano-scaled structures, materials, devices, systems as well as related micro- and nanotechnology from fundamental research to applications. The journal publishes reviews, original research articles, and communications in this field. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their theoretical and experimental results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers or the number of electronic supplementary files. Full details on experiments, materials and methods must be provided for a research article so that the results can be reproduced. Micromachines is covered by the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), Ei Compendex, Scopus, and PubMed, and its 2019 impact factor is 2.523.
