Metaverse tourism refers to the application of immersive digital technologies—such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and blockchain—within tourism experiences. It enables users to explore destinations, participate in cultural experiences, and interact socially within persistent, 3D virtual environments. While it offers new ways of experiencing tourism beyond physical boundaries, it also introduces novel ethical, technological, and social dilemmas. Determinants of Recreational Activities Choice in Protected Areas
Conciliating nature conservation and tourism development is an increasingly important task for authorities in charge of managing protected areas and requires an adequate knowledge of visitors′ preferences and recreational behavior. In this light, the researchers used data collected by means of a choice experiment to investigate recreational preferences at Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, a protected area located in Northeastern Italy. More specifically, we analyzed the determinants of visitors’ decisions to engage with different activities in the park. This is important information for park managers, as different recreational activities have both different impact on the natural heritage and different capability to generate revenue for nature conservation and for enhancing the quality of life of local communities.

Tourism and ICT. Bibliometric Study
The scientific production of digital literacy at the university level published in the Scopus database is analyzed, with a special emphasis on studies on tourism due to the relevance of information and communication technology (ICT) in said professional sector. For this, a bibliometric study of a pertinent sample is undertaken using a mixed methodology and based on a series of variables related to formal and content aspects. The last variable, reserved for the academic field under study, directly addresses the main objective as regards tourism. The results show a great global and multidisciplinary interest in digital literacy (DL), mainly from students. There is also a parallel between the integration of ICT into society and the growing evolution of case studies, as well as little interest in their development in specific areas such as tourism studies. Despite good results in general terms, the lack of specialization poses challenges that require greater involvement of training institutions in the sense of providing future professionals with the necessary tools to face them successfully, especially in sectors such as tourism where ICTs are a key piece.

Collaboration between Hotel Frontline Employees and Service Robots
With the increasing adoption of frontline service robots (FLSR) in hospitality workplaces, collaboration between frontline employees (FLE) and FLSR has become a necessity. Existing literature focuses on the customer perspective of FLSR. The chapters herein explain the mechanisms through which employees’ willingness to collaborate with FLSR are built. By incorporating robot service capability and perceived risk as external variables into a technology acceptance model, researchers investigated the mechanisms of FLE’s willingness to collaborate with FLSR. The results showed that the service capability of FLSR plays a significant role in increasing FLE’s willingness to collaborate, whereas perceived risk decreases their willingness to collaborate. These results indicate that the level of service capability of FLSR and the management of perceived risk are important in shaping FLE's positive attitudes toward collaborating with FLSR.

Pandemic, Service in Rural Households and the Rural Environment
Tourism is sensitive to all kinds of crises caused by natural disasters: infectious diseases, conflicts, energy losses, economic and political instability, etc. There is a large number of studies that deal with the negative consequences that the pandemic has had on tourism, and destruction of large tourist centers, but few of them have recorded the opposite effect or the importance of the expansion of visits to villages in that period, or saw the rural setting as an advantage to encourage investing in the quality of rural services recovery. The search for solutions to overcome the crisis in the tourism sector is an acute problem and focuses on changing the direction of tourism and its sustainable approach, and also focuses on mutual benefits for non-agricultural activities.
