Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a hereditary disease that causes the degeneration of photoreceptor cells in the retina, starting with the rods, leading to a gradual loss of vision over time. RP is the most common type of inherited retinal dystrophy and affects over 1.5 million people worldwide, leading to a high burden on patients and society. Common symptoms of RP include nyctalopia and gradual loss of peripheral vision, which can ultimately lead to blindness. RP is one of the primary causes of visual disability and blindness in individuals under 60 years old.

A Certain Magical Index
A Certain Magical Index (Japanese: とある魔術の禁書目録 (インデックス), Hepburn: Toaru Majutsu no Indekkusu)[lower-alpha 1] is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura, which has been published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint since April 2004. The plot is set in a world where supernatural abilities exist. The light novels focus on Toma Kamijo, a young high school student in Academy City who has an unusual ability, as he encounters an English nun named Index. His ability and relationship with Index proves dangerous to other sorcerers and Espers who want to discover the secrets behind him and Index, as well as the city. Yen Press have licensed the novels in North America. A manga adaptation by Chuya Kogino began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Gangan from May 2007. J.C.Staff produced two 24-episode anime series between 2008 and 2011. An animated film was released in February 2013. The anime adaptations are licensed in North America by Funimation. A 26-episode third season aired between 2018 and 2019, licensed by Funimation. The side-story manga series, A Certain Scientific Railgun, began serialization in Dengeki Daioh in February 2007. A second side-story manga series, A Certain Scientific Accelerator, began serialization in Dengeki Daioh in December 2013.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a complex disease often driven by activating mutations or amplification of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene, which expresses a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase. Targeted anti-EGFR treatments include small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), among which gefitinib and erlotinib are the best studied, and their function more often imaged. TKIs block EGFR activation, inducing apoptosis in cancer cells addicted to EGFR signals.

A Connected Community Approach to Building Community Resilience
Urban resilience research is recognizing the need to complement a mainstream preoccupation with “hard” infrastructure (electrical grid, storm sewers, etc.) with attention to the “soft” (social) infrastructure issues that include the increased visibility of and role for civil society, moving from (top-down, paternalistic) government to (participatory) governance. Analyses of past shock events invariably point to the need for more concerted efforts in building effective governance and networked relations between civil society groupings and formal institutions before, during, and after crisis. However, the literature contains little advice on how to go about this. A Connected Communities Approach is advanced that offers the missing guidance, and it's key features are explained.

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, many students have developed substantial educational delays, both cognitively and social-emotionally. To counter such negative effects of the school closures, several policies and support strategies on attainment and social-emotional well-being have been proposed and implemented. In the Netherlands, the focus is on using evidence-based interventions to boost educational achievement. The question is, however, how evidence-based the interventions really are.
