Adversarial Machine Learning Attacks against Intrusion Detection Systems
Concerns about cybersecurity and attack methods have risen in the information age. Many techniques are used to detect or deter attacks, such as intrusion detection systems (IDSs), that help achieve security goals, such as detecting malicious attacks before they enter the system and classifying them as malicious activities. However, the IDS approaches have shortcomings in misclassifying novel attacks or adapting to emerging environments, affecting their accuracy and increasing false alarms. To solve this problem, researchers have recommended using machine learning approaches as engines for IDSs to increase their efficacy. Machine-learning techniques are supposed to automatically detect the main distinctions between normal and malicious data, even novel attacks, with high accuracy. However, carefully designed adversarial input perturbations during the training or testing phases can significantly affect their predictions and classifications. Adversarial machine learning (AML) poses many cybersecurity threats in numerous sectors that use machine-learning-based classification systems, such as deceiving IDS to misclassify network packets.

Gamification and Technology Acceptance
Technology acceptance is essential for technology success. Individual users are known to differ in their tendency to adopt and interact with new technologies. Among the individual differences, personality has been shown to be a predictor of users’ beliefs about technology acceptance. Gamification, on the other hand, has been shown to be a good solution to improve students’ motivation and engagement while learning. Despite the growing interest in gamification, less research attention has been paid to the effect of personality, specifically based on the Five Factor model (FFM), on gamification acceptance in learning environments.

Impact Factor
The impact factor (IF) or journal impact factor (JIF) of an academic journal is a scientometric index calculated by Clarivate that reflects the yearly average number of citations of articles published in the last two years in a given journal. It is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field; journals with higher impact factor values are often deemed to be more important, or carry more intrinsic prestige in their respective fields, than those with lower values.

Applications of Internet of Things
IoT-dependent systems (IoTSs) cause heavy usage of energy. This is one of the biggest issues associated with IoTSs. Another issue is that the security of digital content is a big challenge and difficulty. Image processing has recently played an essential role in resolving these difficulties.

Text Classification Technique
One of the effective solutions in Arabic text classification is to find the suitable feature selection method with an optimal number of features alongside the classifier. Although several text classification methods have been proposed for the Arabic language using different techniques, such as feature selection methods, an ensemble of classifiers, and discriminative features, choosing the optimal method becomes an NP-hard problem considering the huge search space.

Designing for Hybrid Intelligence
A taxonomy and survey of crowd-machine interaction is proposed. Specifically, this summary aims to provide a glimpse into the unique characteristics of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered crowdsourcing by characterizing its uses, limitations, and prospects when seen from a socio-technical perspective grounded on hybrid machine-crowd interaction. To this end, a scoping review of the existing literature was performed  in order to frame the relevant aspects of this particular form of hybrid intelligence in light of the progress reported in prior research when considering human-algorithmic arrangements at a massive scale. From understanding the role of crowd-AI ethicality to the analysis of the spatio-temporal characteristics of crowd activity and the behavioral traces left by crowd workers as a way of improving performance outcomes and user experience (UX) design.

Cyber-Physical Power System
With the rapid development of power grid informatization, the power system has evolved into a multi-dimensional heterogeneous complex system with high cyber-physical integration, denoting the Cyber-Physical Power System (CPPS). Network attack, in addition to faults, becomes an important factor restricting the stable operation of the power system.

Cloud-Native Workload Orchestration at the Edge
Cloud-native computing principles such as virtualization and orchestration are key to transferring to the promising paradigm of edge computing. Challenges of containerization, operative models and scarce availability of established tools make a thorough review indispensable. Container virtualization and its orchestration through Kubernetes have dominated the cloud computing domain, while major efforts have been recently recorded focused on the adaptation of these technologies to the edge. Such initiatives have addressed either the reduction of container engines and the development of specific tailored operating systems or the development of smaller K8s distributions and edge-focused adaptations (such as KubeEdge). Finally, new workload virtualization approaches, such asWebAssembly modules together with the joint orchestration of these heterogeneous workloads, seem to be the topics to pay attention to in the short to medium term.
