Machine Learning and Image Processing
Images constitute one of the most important forms of communication used by society and contain a large amount of important information. The human vision system is usually the first form of contact with media and has the ability to naturally extract important, and sometimes subtle, information, enabling the execution of different tasks, from the simplest, such as identifying objects, to the more complex, such as the creation and integration of knowledge. However, this system is limited to the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. On the contrary, computer systems have a more comprehensive coverage capacity, ranging from gamma to radio waves, which makes it possible to process a wide spectrum of images, covering a wide and varied field of applications. On the other hand, the exponential growth in the volume of images created and stored daily makes their analysis and processing a difficult task to implement outside the technological sphere. In this way, image processing through computational systems plays a fundamental role in extracting necessary and relevant information for carrying out different tasks in different contexts and application areas.

Vehicular Edge Computing Schemes Related to Trajectory Prediction
As the infrastructure becomes well established, edge servers extend their service coverage to a wider scope. In traffic control, edge computing servers can acquire and regulate real-time traffic. In in-vehicle tasks, edge computing servers can provide high-quality services to users. Vehicular edge computing (VEC) is essential in vehicle applications such as traffic control and in-vehicle services.

Active SLAM
Here presents a comprehensive review of Active Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (A-SLAM) research conducted over the past. It explores the formulation, applications, and methodologies employed in A-SLAM, particularly in trajectory generation and control action selection, drawing on concepts from Information Theory (IT) and the Theory of Optimal Experimental Design (TOED). The entry includes both qualitative and quantitative analyses of various approaches, deployment scenarios, configurations, path planning methods, and utility functions within A-SLAM research.

Sensors on IoT Systems for Urban Disaster Management
The occurrence of disasters has the potential to impede the progress of sustainable urban development. For instance, it has the potential to result in significant human casualties and substantial economic repercussions. Sustainable cities, as outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12, prioritize the objective of disaster risk reduction. According to the Gesi Smarter 2030, the Internet of Things (IoT) assumes a pivotal role in the context of smart cities, particularly in domains including smart grids, smart waste management, and smart transportation. IoT has emerged as a crucial facilitator for the management of disasters, contributing to the development of cities that are both resilient and sustainable.

Accurate Estimation of Air Pollution in Outdoor Routes
There is clear evidence of the effects of air pollution on health. The aim is to provide this information to citizens based on their health profile (medical history or requirements) before and during outdoor trips of their choice, both walking and cycling, empowering them to proactively make informed personal decisions about their route choices and identifying potentially unhealthy travel environments.

Deep Learning for Motor Imagery Brain–Computer Interface
The field of brain–computer interface (BCI) enables us to establish a pathway between the human brain and computers, with applications in the medical and nonmedical field. Brain computer interfaces can have a significant impact on the way humans interact with machines. In recent years, the surge in computational power has enabled deep learning algorithms to act as a robust avenue for leveraging BCIs.
