Fire Detection Based on Deep Learning Approaches
The field of image recognition has witnessed the rise of a particular type of deep neural network (DNN), CNN. Learnable neural networks comprise numerous layers, each of which performs a separate function when extracting or identifying features. Computer vision, a compelling form of AI, is ubiquitous, and is often experienced without us realizing it. Image processing is the area of computer vision and science devoted to imitating elements of the human visual system and enabling computers to discern and process objects in images and videos similarly to humans. Several deep learning (DL) techniques have been effectively applied in various fields of fire and face detection research.

Watermarking Solution for Medical Imaging Security
Securing medical imaging poses a significant challenge in preserving the confidentiality of healthcare data. Numerous research efforts have focused on fortifying these images, with encryption emerging as a primary solution for maintaining data integrity without compromising confidentiality. However, applying conventional encryption techniques directly to e-health data encounters hurdles, including limitations in data size, redundancy, and capacity, particularly in open-channel patient data transmissions. As a result, the unique characteristics of images, marked by their risk of data loss and the need for confidentiality, make preserving the privacy of data contents a complex task. This underscores the pressing need for innovative approaches to ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive healthcare information within medical images.

Barriers and Support Factors of Open Data
Obstacles to Open Data can manifest at various levels. Fourteen potential supporting factors (n = 14) and thirteen barriers (n = 13) to the provision and anonymization of personal data were identified. These encompassed technical prerequisites as well as institutional, personnel, ethical, and legal considerations. These findings offer insights into existing obstacles and supportive structures within Open Data processes for effective implementation.

DiabeticSense
Diabetes mellitus is a widespread chronic metabolic disorder that requires regular blood glucose level surveillance. Current invasive techniques, such as finger-prick tests, often result in discomfort, leading to infrequent monitoring and potential health complications. Researchers was to design a novel, portable, non-invasive system for diabetes detection using breath samples, named DiabeticSense, an affordable digital health device for early detection, to encourage immediate intervention. The device employed electrochemical sensors to assess volatile organic compounds in breath samples, whose concentrations differed between diabetic and non-diabetic individuals. The system merged vital signs with sensor voltages obtained by processing breath sample data to predict diabetic conditions.

Federated Learning-Based IoT Big Data Management Approach
Federated Learning (FL) is poised to play an essential role in extending the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data ecosystems by enabling entities to harness the computational power of private devices, thus safeguarding user data privacy. Despite its benefits, FL is vulnerable to multiple types of assaults, including label-flipping and covert attacks. The label-flipping attack specifically targets the central model by manipulating its decisions for a specific class, which can result in biased or incorrect results.

Emotion Recognition in Conversations
As a branch of sentiment analysis tasks, emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims to explore the hidden emotions of a speaker by analyzing the sentiments in utterance. In addition, emotion recognition in multimodal data from conversation includes the text of the utterance and its corresponding acoustic and visual data. By integrating features from various modalities, the emotion of utterance can be more accurately predicted.

A Scalogram-Based CNN Approach for Audio Classification
The automatic monitoring of activities in construction sites through the proper use of acoustic signals is a recent field of research that is currently in continuous evolution. In particular, the use of techniques based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) working on the spectrogram of the signal or its mel-scale variants was demonstrated to be quite successful. However, the spectrogram has some limitations, which are due to the intrinsic trade-off between temporal and spectral resolutions. In order to overcome these limitations, CNNs can employ the scalogram representation, as a proper time–frequency representation of the audio signal.
