Imitation Learning and Generalization Capability
Imitation Learning (IL) is an approach through which an expert teaches a robot to perform a task. An expert can be a human, a trained policy for a task, a synthetic agent, a demonstration from another robot or even a video demonstration of a desired task.

Genetic Algorithm for the Recovery System of USVs
Compared to other vessels, the unmanned surface vehicle (USV) has the advantage of being smaller and operating more agilely, requiring only sufficient space for the relevant sensors and auxiliary navigation devices to make sure the vehicle functions properly. Moreover, the USV can be applied in extreme conditions independently, such as strong waves, tides, and radiation leaks, by means of a predefined system or remote control by professionals.

Road Scene Understanding of Autonomous Vehicles
Road scene understanding is crucial to the safe driving of autonomous vehicles. Comprehensive road scene understanding requires a visual perception system to deal with a large number of tasks at the same time, which needs a perception model with a small size, fast speed, and high accuracy. As multi-task learning has evident advantages in performance and computational resources, a multi-task model YOLO-Object, Drivable Area, and Lane Line Detection (YOLO-ODL) based on hard parameter sharing is proposed to realize joint and efficient detection of traffic objects, drivable areas, and lane lines.

Drone-Integrated Geographic Information System Technology
Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), have gained numerous applications due to their low cost, ease of use, vertical takeover and landing, and ability to operate in high-risk or hard-to-reach areas. Geographic Information System (GIS) refers to a field of science that involves the study of the lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena of the Earth. GIS is a comprehensive framework that includes the processes of acquiring, retaining, modifying, examining, and presenting geographical data in an effective and streamlined way.

Line Feature, Vanishing Points and Manhattan World Analysis
In conventional point-line visual inertial odometry systems under indoor environment, consideration of spatial position recovery and line feature classification can improve localization accuracy. A monocular visual inertial odometry based on structured and unstructured line features of vanishing points is proposed. First, degeneracy phenomenon caused by special geometric relationship between epipoles and line features is analyzed in process of triangulation, and a degeneracy detection strategy is designed to determine the location of the epipoles. Then, considering the property that vanishing point and epipole coincide at infinity, vanishing point feature is introduced to solve the degeneracy and direction vector optimization problem of line features. Finally, threshold constraints are used to categorize straight lines into structural and non-structural features under the Manhattan world assumption, and the vanishing point measurement model is added to the sliding window for joint optimization. Comparative tests on the EuRoC and TUM-VI public datasets validated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Distributed Intelligent Battery Management System
For real-world applications, battery management systems (BMSs) can be used in the form of distributed control systems where general controllers, charge regulators, and smart monitors and sensors are integrated, such as those proposed in this work, which allow more precise estimations of a large set of important parameters, such as the state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), current, voltage, and temperature, seeking the safety and the extension of the useful life of energy storage systems based on battery banks.

Supervised Learning Approaches for Mobile Robot Control
Machine learning (ML) is a branch of artificial intelligence that has been developing at a dynamic pace in recent years. ML is also linked with Big Data, which are huge datasets that need special tools and approaches to process them. ML algorithms make use of data to learn how to perform specific tasks or make appropriate decisions. ML approaches that have been applied to the task of mobile robot control are divided into the following: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. The supervised learning methods are grouped into two main categories of regression and classification.

Blockchain-Based Certificate Authentication for International Food Trade
Maritime transportation plays a critical role for many Arab countries and their food security and has evolved into a complex system that involves a plethora of supply chain stakeholders spread around the globe. This inherent complexity brings huge security challenges, including cargo loss and high burdens in cargo document inspection. The emerging blockchain technology provides a promising tool to build a unified maritime cargo tracking system critical for cargo security. This is because blockchains are a tamper-proof distributed ledger technology that can store and track data in a secure and transparent manner.
