Bempedoic Acid and Statins in Lipid-Lowering Strategy
Pharmacological research has led to the development of a new drug, the bempedoic acid, which further enrich the available therapies. This drug also acts on the biosynthesis of cholesterol but at upstream level than statins. From the biochemical point of view, it has the potential to be considered before the statin with consequent titration of statins to achieve the desirable LDL-C target.

Benefits of Exercise for Lowering Cardiovascular Stress Reactivity
Exaggerated cardiovascular reactivity to and delayed recovery from stress increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases in the future. It is evident that exercise training and aerobic fitness are associated with reduced cardiovascular reactivity and enhanced recovery from stress, but the effects with acute exercise are less characterized. This research sought to explore the range and variety of available studies using acute exercise to lower stress-induced cardiovascular reactivity and recovery. In general, acute exercise particularly of the moderate-intensity, aerobic type effectively reduced stress-induced Blood pressure (BP) reactivity in the healthy population and in those with high blood pressure. This shows that with just a single bout of exercise can help to lower cardiovascular reactivity in response to stress without having to undergo extensive exercise training. Further research would be recommended to establish if other forms of exercise intensity or type are equally beneficial to lower exaggerated cardiovascular responses to stress.

Benefits of Table Tennis for Brain Health Maintenance and Prevention of Dementia
Table tennis is an extremely popular sport throughout the world as it requires no expensive equipment, specialized amenities, or physical contact among players, and the pace of play can be adapted to allow participation by players of all skill levels, ages, and abilities. It is an aerobic-dominant sport driven primarily by the phosphagen system because rallies are relatively brief (several seconds) and separated by longer rest periods. Several studies have shown that physical interventions including table tennis can help prevent cognitive decline and dementia. Accordingly, the present paper provides an overview of the basic physical and cognitive demands of table tennis, reviews previous studies reporting improvements in physical and brain health across different non-clinical and clinical populations, and critically evaluates the usefulness of table tennis intervention for the prevention of cognitive decline and dementia. This review suggests that table tennis intervention could be a powerful strategy to prevent cognitive decline and dementia in the elderly.

Bereavement Needs Assessment in Nurses
The impossibility of anticipating the events, the numerous deaths, the excessive workload, the lack of personal health and the necessary means of protection made it difficult to regulate the impact and the elaboration of grief to the point of becoming, on many occasions, a traumatic grief whose physical and psychological manifestations are becoming more and more evident. a specific measurement instrument suitable is proposed to identify possible risk factors and a symptomatology of professional traumatic grief. It could be used to plan and take action aimed at preventing the long-term effects of this pathology, thereby mitigating the threat to personal identity, promoting coping resources for professionals, helping to minimize negative self-evaluation due to the loss and improving the quality of life and healthcare of this at-risk population. A scale for a group of symptoms based on professional traumatic grief was developed.

Bezold’s Abscess
Bezold’s abscess is a deep neck abscess related to otomastoiditis. Due to the insidious clinical presentation, diagnosis can be extremely challenging, leading to delays in treatment and possible life-threatening complications. Bezold’s abscess is found at any age, with overt male prevalence among adults. The clinical presentation, as well as the causative pathogens, are strikingly heterogeneous. Otomastoiditis and cholesteatoma are major risk factors.

Bidirectional Relationship between Gut Dysbiosis, Anxiety and Depression
Inflammatory bowel disease represents one of the most life-altering gastrointestinal pathologies, with its multifactorial nature and unclear physiopathology. The most relevant clinical forms, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, clinically manifest with mild to severe flares and remission periods that alter the patient’s social, familial and professional integration. The chronic inflammatory activity of the intestinal wall determines severe modifications of the local environment, such as dysbiosis, enteric endocrine, nervous and immune system disruptions and intestinal wall permeability changes. These features are part of the gastrointestinal ecosystem that modulates the bottom-to-top signaling to the central nervous system, leading to a neurobiologic imbalance and clinical affective and/or behavioral symptoms. The gut-brain link is a bidirectional pathway and psychological distress can also affect the central nervous system, which will alter the top-to-bottom regulation, leading to possible functional digestive symptoms and local inflammatory responses. In the middle of this neuro-gastrointestinal system, the microbiome is a key player, as its activities offer basic functional support for both relays.
