Telemedicine Respiratory Therapist Service of COVID-19
The telemedicine respiratory therapist (eRT) interventions were components of an evidence-based care bundle and included ventilator liberation protocols, low tidal volume protocols, tube patency, and an extubation checklist. In addition, the proactive rounding of patients, including ventilator checks, was included. An eRT service can support the bedside RT providers, effectively monitor best practice bundles, and carry out patient–ventilator assessments. It was effective in certain emergent situations and reduced the exposure of respiratory therapists (RTs) to COVID-19.

Sleep Disordered Breathing in Autism Spectrum Disorder
Sleep-disordered breathing is a significant problem affecting the pediatric population. These conditions can affect sleep quality and children’s overall health and well-being. Difficulties in social interaction, communication, and repetitive behavioral patterns characterize autism spectrum disorder. Sleep disturbances are common in children with ASD.

Canine Coronavirus
Canine coronavirus (CCoV) is a positive-strand RNA virus generally responsible for mild-to-severe gastroenteritis in dogs. In recent years, new CCoVs with acquired pathogenic characteristics have emerged, turning the spotlight on the evolutionary potential of CCoVs.

Public Health Concerns Related to Pesticide Exposure
One of the major issues related to food safety is the lack of globally harmonized pesticide legislation and safety standards. Pesticide maximum residue levels (MRLs) in foods and feeds significantly differ, especially among developed and developing countries. The differences in regulations also cause trade issues since many developing countries use unauthorized pesticides or different MRLs.

Ocular Surface Infection Mediated Molecular Stress Responses
Infection mediated ocular surface stress responses are activated as early defense mechanisms in response to host cell damage. Integrated stress responses initiate the host response to different types of infections and modulate the transcription of key genes and translation of proteins. The crosstalk between host and pathogen results in profound alterations in cellular and molecular homeostasis triggering specific stress responses in the infected tissues. The amplitude and variations of such responses are partly responsible for the disease severity and clinical sequelae. Understanding the etiology and pathogenesis of ocular infections is important for early diagnosis and effective treatment.

Single-Cell RNA Sequencing in Immunology
The immune system comprises many immune cells, including innate and adaptive immune cells. These cells are critical for protecting the host from injuries, infection, and carcinogenesis (i.e., immune surveillance). Improvements in technologies such as microscopy and flow cytometry have accelerated the classification of immune cells. Nevertheless, these methods still have some limitations. The immune system’s complexity, including the heterogeneity, development, differentiation, and microenvironment of immune cells in health and disease, cannot be fully understood using classical theories. A deeper inspection of immunology yields improved immune therapies using advanced technologies. The emergence of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) can revolutionize our understanding of immunology and break through the bottlenecks in immunology.

The Emergence of SARS-CoV-2 Variants
The emergence of new variants of Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) associated with varying infectivity, pathogenicity, diagnosis, and effectiveness against treatments challenged the overall management of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

White-Tailed Deer Population Density and Tick-Borne Disease Risk
Spatial distributions between deer population density and human and canine tick-borne diseases (TBDs) in northeastern and southern Indiana, which are rural and mixed geographic areas. Overall, Lyme disease is more prevalent in the northwest, central-western, and southeastern counties, while ehrlichiosis is more common in the southern counties. These findings hold true across humans, canines, and deer.

Dietary Interventions in Adults with Depression
Dietary interventions may reduce depression levels with positive outcomes. There is a positive result for diets that promote an increased intake of fresh produce, wholegrains, low-fat dairy and lean protein sources, while also decreasing the intake of processed and high-fat foods.
