Structural Health Monitoring of the Wilford Suspension Bridge
Structural health monitoring (SHM) is vital for ensuring the service safety of aging bridges. As one of the most advanced sensing techniques, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) could capture massive spatiotemporal information for effective bridge structural health monitoring (BSHM). Unfortunately, GNSS measurements often contain outliers due to various factors (e.g., severe weather conditions, multipath effects, etc.). All such outliers could jeopardize the accuracy and reliability of BSHM significantly. Previous studies have examined the feasibility of integrating the conventional multi-rate Kalman filter (MKF) with an adaptive algorithm in the data processing processes to ensure BSHM accuracy. However, frequent parameter adjustments are still needed in tedious data processing processes.

Recent Trends in Treatment and Fabrication
Natural fiber (NF) is one of the many resources that nature has provided. NFs decompose quickly and are biodegradable, renewable, and cost-effective. It may be scavenged from a variety of plant and animal sources. They are employed as reinforcing materials in polymers for NF composite development. Because of its environmental friendliness and long-term survivability, NF is growing in appeal among academics and researchers for usage in polymer composites.

Hemp as Internal Curing Agent in Concrete Materials
The construction industry is facing increased demand for adopting sustainable 'green' building materials to minimise the carbon footprint of the infrastructure sector to meet the United Nations 2030 Sustainability Goals. Natural bio-composite materials such as timber and bamboo have been widely used in construction for centuries. Hemp has also been used in different forms in the construction sector for decades for its thermal and acoustic insulation capability owing to its moisture buffering capacity and thermal conductivity.

Inflow of Goods in City
Delivery of goods significantly affects the sustainable development of the city center. As the population of people gravitating to city centers grows, the challenges of delivering necessary goods in an appropriate manner are increasing. Numerous flows of goods from and within the city center increase the level of congestion in city centers, which are already congested by public transport and cars. High emissions of harmful gases occur due to the rising turnover of goods and due to the fact that conventional trucks equipped with outdated technology are used for transport.

Local Buckling of Hollow Box FRP Profiles
Hollow box pultruded fibre-reinforced polymers (PFRP) profiles are increasingly used as structural elements in many structural applications due to their cost-effective manufacturing process, excellent mechanical properties-to-weight ratios, and superior corrosion resistance. Despite the extensive usage of PFRP profiles, there is still a lack of knowledge in the design for manufacturing against local buckling on the structural level.

Risk Management of Subway Shield and Text Mining
Among the construction methods for subway projects, shield method construction technology has become a more widely used construction method for urban subway construction due to the advantages of a high degree of construction mechanization, low impact of the construction process on the environment, and strong adaptability of the shield machine to the stratum, etc. However, because of the complexity of the surrounding buildings (structures) in the subway construction, coupled with the diversity of the subway shield method construction activities and the uncertainties in the construction environment, to a certain extent, it is determined that the subway construction process is very complicated.

Construction Digital Twin
The Digital Twin (DT), as a real-time and data-connected virtual replica of a physical asset, introduces a new paradigm in the construction industry. Industry 4.0 encompasses ample benefits for various industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, systems engineering, oil and gas, construction, etc. As one of the main concepts of Industry 4.0, Digital Twin bespeaks a new paradigm in the construction industry as a real-time virtual replica of a physical asset. Several industries, such as manufacturing, automotives, aviation and healthcare, are extensively using the concepts of Industry 4.0, but the construction industry is in its infancy in terms of adopting and implementing Industry 4.0 principles. Moreover, to date, most construction industry studies and practices have focused on implementing DT in the operation and maintenance phase of facilities and the use of DT in the construction phase has not been addressed sufficiently.

Eco-Friendly Geopolymer Composites Prepared from Agro-Industrial Wastes
Portland cement (PC) is a common material used in civil infrastructure engineering. Cement production emits roughly 2.2 billion tons of CO2 per year, contributing 8% of global emissions in 2016. This contributes to almost half of the calcination process, and together with thermal combustion, clinker generation could be responsible for 90% of the sector’s emissions. One effective technique for dealing with these industrial by-product wastes is to employ them to make cement replacements such as concrete and mortar, which can be used in a variety of applications.
