Metal-Based Nanoparticle-Mediated Biological Effects in Arabidopsis thaliana
The widespread application of metal-based nanoparticles (MNPs) has prompted great interest in nano-biosafety. Consequently, as more and more MNPs are released into the environment and eventually sink into the soil, plants, as an essential component of the ecosystem, are at greater risk of exposure and response to these MNPs. Therefore, to understand the potential impact of nanoparticles on the environment, their effects should be thoroughly investigated. Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana L.) is an ideal model plant for studying the impact of environmental stress on plants’ growth and development because the ways in which Arabidopsis adapt to these stresses resemble those of many plants, and therefore, conclusions obtained from these scientific studies have often been used as the universal reference for other plants.

Hydrotalcites are known in the bibliography as LDHs (Layered double hydroxides). Hydrotalcites, as such, are not good CO2 absorbents due to poor basic properties and presence of entities that hinder CO2 adsorption and are therefore subjected to thermal treatment (around 500 °C) to obtain nearly amorphous metastable mixed solid solutions known as calcined layered double hydroxides (CLDHs). There are several parameters that can make hydrotalcites suitable for use as CO2 sinks.

Because of its strategic location, it was the center of events between Russia and Great Britain later referred to as the Great Game.  There are various reasons why tourists visit Uzbekistan. This region was the center of Islamic ideology, and the craddle of the first Renaissance that brought up scientists such as Avicenna, Al Khorezmi, Al Beruni and others. The legacy left by ancestors in terms of constructions and traditions is well preserved in ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. The influence of various nations (arabs, mongols, russians) on the aborigens of Central Asia left its footprints on culture, architecture and social life. For the people who appreciate oriental arts and history Uzbekistan is a must-visit place. However, the range of tourism services is mainly focused on only historical sightseeing. Recreational tourism services are underdeveloped. High travel costs, tourism infrastructure problems, and lack of qualified personnel are main issues that pull back tourism development.

Underground Plastic Recharge Chambers in Stormwater Management
Land development typically requires stormwater control measures (SCMs) to limit runoff volume, reduce peak flow, delay discharge to streams, and reduce pollutant loads to receiving waters, with the ideal goal of mimicking the natural hydrologic system. Life cycle assessment is used to systematically evaluate the environmental impact of underground plastic recharge chambers (RCs) used for stormwater management.  Using cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment and a functional unit of 1 m3 stormwater capacity, different RC structure types, manufacturing processes and materials are considered. The inventory is based on various commercially available RCs, including injection-molded or extruded polypropylene and polyvinylchloride polymers and typical installation materials and methods. A new dataset is developed to estimate the manufacture and use of recycled polypropylene granulate. TRACI 2.1 is used to investigate the midpoint life cycle impact assessment metrics, acidification, eutrophication, global warming, and fossil fuel resources.
