As a brain correlate of mental health, dopamine has a central functional role in behavioral regulation from healthy reward-seeking to pathological adaptation to stress in response to adversity.

Diagnostically Challenging Subtypes of Invasive Lobular Carcinomas
Invasive lobular carcinoma is the most common special breast carcinoma subtype, with unique morphological (discohesive cells, single-cell files, targetoid pattern) and immunohistochemical (loss of E-cadherin and β-catenin staining) features. Moreover, ILC displays a poor response to neoadjuvant therapy, a different metastatic pattern compared to invasive breast carcinoma of no special type, as well as unique molecular characteristics. In addition to the classic variant of invasive lobular carcinoma, several other well-recognized variants exist, including classic, alveolar, tubulolobular, solid, pleomorphic, signet-ring, and mixed.

Regular exercise promotes protection against certain types of cancer, such as breast, colon cancer, and possibly prostate, endometrial, lung, and pancreatic cancer, while for ovarian and testicular cancer there is insufficient evidence to support this relationship. Exercise is a simple and low-cost non-pharmacological intervention that is of great importance for cancer prevention, also improving the prognosis of cancer patients, promoting prolonged survival.

Impact of COVID-19 on Hospital Profit Compensation Activities
The impact of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is still being felt, and little is known about the impact on hospital operations of the loss of outpatients and inpatients due to COVID-19 in many counties. Therefore exploring whether hospitals have adopted profit-compensation activities following the first wave of the COVID-19 outbreak in China in 2020. 2616589 inpatient records for 2018, 2019, and 2020 were extracted from 36 tertiary hospitals in a western province; a difference-in-difference event study design was used to estimate the dynamic impact of COVID-19 on total inpatient costs before and after the last confirmed case. An increase in mean total costs per patient of between 8.7% and 16.7% can be found in the first 25 weeks after urban reopening and return to normal hospitalization. It indicates that hospitals experienced profit compensating activity after the first wave of the outbreak in China in 2020, driven by the reduction in hospital admissions during that wave.

There is sufficient evidence underlining the importance of an adequate iodine supply for all women of childbearing age in order to prevent negative mental and social consequences for their children. An additional threat to the thyroid hormone system is the ubiquitous exposure to endocrine disrupters, which might exacerbate the effects of iodine deficiency in pregnant women on the neurocognitive development of their offspring.

Relational Databases for the Detection of Clusters Infection
Several bacterial strains have acquired significant antibiotic resistance and can, therefore, become difficult to contain. To counteract such trends, relational databases can be a powerful tool for supporting the decision-making process. The case of Klebsiella pneumoniae diffusion in a central region of Italy was analyzed as a case study. A specific relational database is shown to provide very detailed and timely information about the spatial–temporal diffusion of the contagion, together with a clear assessment of the multidrug resistance of the strains.
