Cardiometabolic Risk and Chronobiology
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) poses a serious health and economic burden worldwide. Modifiable lifestyle factors are a focus of research into reducing the burden of CVD, with diet as one of the most investigated factors. Specifically, the timing and regularity of food intake is an emerging research area, with approaches such as time-restricted eating (TRE) receiving much attention.

Evaluation of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms
Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are epithelial neoplasms that arise from cells of the endocrine and nervous systems, with distinctive differentiation, and could occur in the various organ but more frequently from the gastrointestinal tract, followed by the lung. GEP-NENs are NENs occurring at various anatomical sites of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, and they comprise a heterogeneous group of epithelial neoplasms with a wide range of aggressiveness. Imaging acts as a major role in evaluating NENs. These include detecting, staging, evaluating the response, and prognosis.

Study of Water Safety Plan
The use of Microfiltered Water Dispensers (MWDs) is increasing in offices, companies, or commercial facilities, as a response to plastic pollution. Despite their widespread use, poor data are available about the water quality and pathogens developed. Starting from a high contamination found in MWDs, a Water Safety Plan (WSP) was implemented on 57 MWDs to improve the water quality. To assess the effectiveness of WSP during the period 2017–2021, the environmental monitoring of heterotrophic plate counts (HPCs) at 36 °C and 22 °C, Enterococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Clostridium perfringens, as prescribed by Italian regulation for drinking water, was conducted.

Neonatal Sepsis and Hemostasis
Neonatal sepsis is considered critical for a significant increase in neonatal morbidity and mortality among hospitalized neonates. Neonatal sepsis, in most cases, coexists with coagulopathy, which can prove to be life-threatening.

Mental Health and Healthy Habits in University Students
The move to university is a stage of constant psychosocial and academic changes, where anxious and depressive symptomatologies usually appear, in addition to the aggravation of previous mental health problems. The prevalence of psychopathology found was high, especially depressive and anxious pathologies. This incidence tends to be higher in undergraduates and/or Arts and Humanities, coinciding with those who tend to have poorer lifestyle habits.

Dynamic of Glucose Homeostasis in Virtual Patients
This work presents a mathematical model of homeostasis dynamics in healthy individuals, focusing on the generation of conductive data on glucose homeostasis throughout the day under dietary and physical activity factors. Two case studies on glucose dynamics for populations under conditions of physical activity and sedentary lifestyle were developed.

Effect of PFAS Molecules for the Human Health
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of over 4700 heterogeneous compounds with amphipathic properties and exceptional stability to chemical and thermal degradation. The unique properties of PFAS compounds has been exploited for almost 60 years and has largely contributed to their wide applicability over a vast range of industrial, professional and non-professional uses. However, increasing evidence indicate that these compounds represent also a serious concern for both wildlife and human health as a result of their ubiquitous distribution, their extreme persistence and their bioaccumulative potential. In light of the adverse effects that have been already documented in biota and human populations or that might occur in absence of prompt interventions, the competent authorities in matter of health and environment protection, the industries as well as scientists are cooperating to identify the most appropriate regulatory measures, substitution plans and remediation technologies to mitigate PFAS impacts.

Marketing Unhealthy Foods to Children
HFSS food marketing featuring celebrities or influencers increases children’s food consumption, although this was from a limited number of studies. These findings suggest that limiting exposure of children to HFSS marketing including all celebrity types may have beneficial impacts upon dietary consumption. Further research on the impact of child characteristics such as SES, long-term impacts, and real-world studies would be beneficial to further inform the thinking of policy makers.

Interventions That Reduced Adults Salt Intake
Excessive sodium in the diet increases blood pressure and therefore increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Reducing sodium intake is important to lower blood pressure and thus reduce cardiovascular diseases and other complications associated with high sodium intake, such as chronic kidney disease, obesity, gastric cancer and liver diseases.
