Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Sports Applications
Progress in science and technology drives the continuous innovation of energy collection and utilization. In the field of sports, the information collection and analysis based on Internet of things have attracted particular attention. On this basis, it is considered that the stability of devices, the universality of materials, and the scientificity of application of the TENG in the future need to be improved. There is a direction for further upgrading energy collection technology to promote the high-quality development of human mechanical energy sensing in the field of sports.

Vigil (Spacecraft)
Vigil, formerly known as Lagrange, is a planned solar weather mission by the European Space Agency (ESA). It envisions two spacecraft to be positioned at Lagrangian points L1 and L5. Monitoring space weather includes events such as solar flares, coronal mass ejections, geomagnetic storms, solar proton events, etc. Monitoring would help predict arrival times at the Earth and any potential effect on infrastructure. The Vigil spacecraft are anticipated to launch in the mid 2020s. On 17 May 2021, ESA began soliciting design concept studies from various European industrial and scientific consortiums for the mission. A final design will be selected after approximately 18 months, in late 2022. Simultaneously, the ESA announced the No-Name Mission contest to replace the placeholder Lagrange name. The winning name, Vigil, was announced on 10 February 2022.

Low-energy electron Damage to DNA
The complex physical and chemical reactions between the large number of low-energy (0-30 eV) electrons (LEEs) released by high energy radiation interacting with genetic material can lead to the formation of various DNA lesions such as single strand breaks (SSBs), crosslinks (CLs), base modifications, double strand breaks (DSBs) and other clustered lesions.

Central High-Order Aberrations and Accommodation
High-order aberrations (HOAs) are optical defects that degrade the image quality. They change with factors such as pupil diameter, age, and accommodation. The changes in optical aberrations during accommodation are mainly due to lens shape and position changes. Primary spherical aberration (Z(4.0)) is closely related to accommodation and some studies suggested that it plays an important role in the control of accommodation. Furthermore, central and peripheral HOAs vary with refractive error and seem to influence eye growth and the onset and progression of myopia. The variations of central and peripheral HOAs during accommodation also appear to be different depending on the refractive error. Central and peripheral high-order aberrations are closely related to accommodation and influence the accuracy of the accommodative response and the progression of refractive errors, especially myopia.

The Advanced Applications of 2D Materials in SERS
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) as a label-free, non-contact, highly sensitive, and powerful technique has been widely applied in determining bio- and chemical molecules with fingerprint recognitions. 2-dimensional (2D) materials with layered structures, tunable optical properties, good chemical/physical stabilities, and strong charge–transfer interaction with molecules have attracted researchers’ interests. Two-D materials with a large and flat surface area, as well as good biocompatibility have been considered promising candidates in SERS and widely applied in chemical and bio-applications. It is well known that the noble metallic nanostructures with localized surface plasmon effects dominate the SERS performance. The combination of noble metallic nanostructure with 2D materials is becoming a new and attractive research domain. The SERS substrates combined with 2D materials, such as 2D graphene/metallic NPs, 2D materials@metallic core-shell structures, and metallic structure/2D materials/metallic structure are intensely studied.

Beta Function
In theoretical physics, specifically quantum field theory, a beta function, β(g), encodes the dependence of a coupling parameter, g, on the energy scale, μ, of a given physical process described by quantum field theory. It is defined as and, because of the underlying renormalization group, it has no explicit dependence on μ, so it only depends on μ implicitly through g. This dependence on the energy scale thus specified is known as the running of the coupling parameter, a fundamental feature of scale-dependence in quantum field theory, and its explicit computation is achievable through a variety of mathematical techniques.

Current Status of The Celestial Reference Frame
The International Celestial Reference Frame (ICRF) is based on the currently accepted International Celestial Reference System (ICRS) and forms the basis for all positional astronomy in the radio domain. The first three generations of this frame have been built from high precision Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) astrometric measurements of positions of extragalactic radio sources (quasars and other radio-loud Active Galactic Nuclei, AGN), with each successive realization of the ICRF becoming more precise. VLBI angular position accuracy has now improved to near the 100 micro-arcsecond (μas) level. Catalogues of positions of extragalactic radio sources with the highest precision, such as the ICRF, are crucial to many applications, such as determining the Earth’s orientation in space, providing calibrator sources for astronomy, studying the motion of tectonic plates, and in spacecraft navigation. The ICRF also contributes towards the realization of a Global Geodetic Reference Frame (GGRF) for sustainable development, a resolution adopted by the United Nations in 2015.
