Recursive Decomposition–Reconstruction–Ensemble Method with Complexity Traits
The subject of oil price forecasting has obtained an incredible amount of interest from academics and policymakers in recent years due to the widespread impact that it has on various economic fields and markets. Thus, a novel method based on decomposition–reconstruction–ensemble for crude oil price forecasting is proposed. Based on the Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (CEEMDAN) technique,  a recursive CEEMDAN decomposition–reconstruction–ensemble model considering the complexity traits of crude oil data was constructed. In this model, the steps of mode reconstruction, component prediction, and ensemble prediction are driven by complexity traits. For illustration and verification purposes, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude oil spot prices are used as the sample data. The empirical result demonstrates that the proposed model has better prediction performance than the benchmark models.

Recursion Predicts Covid-19 Trajectories
Modulated recurrence model predicts Covid-19 trajectory in multiple countries.  Wave action at 14-week intervals correlates with case numbers, while predicting future growth rate surges. Graphs of total Covid-19 case numbers in many countries now show long-period wave action.  Simulations using a sine modulated time-delay recurrence equation not only correlate with case data but also proves a π-commensurate wave period of 26 weeks.  When the slope of geometric growth exceeds arithmetic growth, a periodic wave launches in the population with all the dynamics of a damped oscillation.  Recursive simulation generates trajectories that predict future wave peak times and amplitudes.  Data from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, India and Australia are studied in this research.  In all cases, Covid-19 trajectories around the world show the common feature of periodic oscillations as case numbers increase.  Discovery of repeatable Covid-19 growth dynamics suggests a common invariant mechanism of virus propagation, irrespective of country.

Records Continuum Model
The Records Continuum Model (RCM) was created in the 1990s by Monash University academic Frank Upward with input from colleagues Sue McKemmish and Livia Iacovino as a response to evolving discussions about the challenges of managing digital records and archives in the discipline of Archival Science. The RCM was first published in Upward’s 1996 paper "Structuring the Records Continuum – Part One: Postcustodial principles and properties". Upward describes the RCM within the broad context of a continuum where activities and interactions transform documents into records, evidence and memory that are used for multiple purposes over time. Upward places the RCM within a post-custodial, postmodern and structuration conceptual framework. Australian academics and practitioners continue to explore, develop and extend the RCM and records continuum theory, along with international collaborators, via the Records Continuum Research Group (RCRG) at Monash University.

The task of reconstructing 3D scenes based on visual data represents a longstanding problem in computer vision. Common reconstruction approaches rely on the use of multiple volumetric primitives to describe complex objects. Superquadrics (a class of volumetric primitives) have shown great promise due to their ability to describe various shapes with only a few parameters. Research has shown that deep learning methods can be used to accurately reconstruct random superquadrics from both 3D point cloud data and simple depth images. Researchers extend these reconstruction methods to intensity and color images.

Personalized recommender systems extrapolate user’s preferences to create efficient recommendations based on the users’ past interaction with the system. On the contrary, non-personalized recommenders suggest items that are most relevant and popular among all users.

Recommendations for Integrating P300-based BCI
The integration of a P300-based brain-computer interface (BCI) into virtual reality (VR) environments is promising for the video games industry. However, it faces several limitations, mainly due to hardware constraints and limitations engendered by the stimulation needed by the BCI. The main restriction is still the low transfer rate that can be achieved by current BCI technology, preventing movement while using VR. Adventure and simulation games, appear to be the best candidates for designing an effective VR game enriched by BCI technology.
