Flavonoid Production in Plant Metabolic Engineering
Flavonoids are secondary metabolites that represent a heterogeneous family of plant polyphenolic compounds. The research has determined that the health benefits of fruits and vegetables, as well as the therapeutic potential of medicinal plants, are based on the presence of various bioactive natural products, including a high proportion of flavonoids. In plant metabolite research, flavonoids have become the center of attention due to their significant bioactivity associated with anti-cancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial activities.

Flexible Circuit Board
Flexible circuit board, also known as flex circuit board, is a special type of printed circuit board where the board has at least a portion which is bendable. Typical use case of flex circuits is referred to as FFC (flexible flat cable) and is used as replacement of cable wires and connectors, in which case the flex circuit is designed without electronic components. Other common use includes components assembled on the flex circuit such as led strip and LCD panel interface. The electronic circuit is designed on flexible plastic substrate, usually polyimide film for its high heat resistance which makes is suitable for solder mounting components. In some cases polyester film may used as substrate material, where heat resistance is not needed and no components are soldered on the board. Instead, the board is printed with an industrial printer capable of dispensing conductive ink such as silver ink or carbon ink onto the polyester substrate. Examples of use are touch sensors in computer keyboards for key press detection.

Flexible Current Control Strategies Applied to LVRT Capability
Distributed power generation plays a critical role in the stability and reliability of modern power systems. Due to the rapid growth of renewable energy generation, the requirements of the transmission and distribution system operators are becoming more stringent. Among these requirements, one of the most important is the Low-Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) capability, which demands that the inverters remain connected to the grid and provide support during voltage sags. For this purpose, flexible current control algorithms stand out because they can manage unbalanced voltages and simultaneously achieve other control objectives.

Flexible Fluxgate Sensor
Fluxgate sensors are magnetic flux density measurement instruments. They are high-accuracy direction sensitive magnetometers that include the Earth’s magnetic field in their measuring range. For this reason, they are commonly used for magnetic compass applications. Among others, many current measurement devices are based on fluxgate sensors, since they can measure DC magnetic fields as well as low-frequency AC magnetic fields.
