Monkeypox Epidemiology
Monkeypox virus (MPXV) belongs to the Poxviridae species. In the Poxviridae family, the Orthopoxvirus gene contains two enclosed strands of virus DNA (replicating in the cytoplasm and not the nucleus) and is called the monkeypox virus (MPXV).

Monitoring healthcare professionals with SUD
In the past decades, monitoring programs have been developed for healthcare professionals with substance use disorders. We aimed to explore estimates of abstinence and work retention rates after participation in such monitoring programs.

Monitoring and Evaluation of National Vaccination Implementation
An effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework helps vaccination programme managers determine progress and effectiveness for agreed indicators against clear benchmarks and targets. Improving national vaccination programme implementation requires collection and analysis of data on relevant vaccination components. Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) or more recent Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) frameworks support decision-making by consolidating available information on agreed indicators, benchmarked targets, and methods to collect, analyse, and report necessary data to strengthen vaccination programmes.

Molecular Techniques for Schistosomiasis
Diagnostic tools play a pivotal role in warfare against schistosomiasis but must adapt to the endemic status and objectives of activities. With the decrease of prevalence and infection intensity of schistosomiasis in human beings and livestock, optimal methodologies with high sensitivity and absolute specificity are needed for the detection of asymptomatic cases or light infections, as well as disease surveillance to verify elimination. In comparison with the parasitological methods with relatively low sensitivity and serological techniques lacking specificity, which both had been widely used in previous control stages, the molecular detection methods based on the amplification of promising genes of the schistosome genome may pick up the baton to assist the eventual aim of elimination.

Molecular Research of Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative dementia, affecting two-thirds of individuals with cognitive decline worldwide. Several links between vascular risk factors (VRF), neurovascular unit dysfunction (NVUd), blood-brain barrier breakdown (BBBb) and AD onset and progression in adulthood, suggesting a pathogenetic continuum between AD and vascular dementia. Shared pathways between AD, VRF, and NVUd/BBBb have also been found at the molecular level, underlining the strength of this association.

Molecular Mechanisms and Factors of Ovarian Aging
Infertility is a global problem on the rise. The WHO defines it as a condition of the reproductive system that can be diagnosed when there is a “failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse”. It occurs due to four broad causes: lifestyle choices, inheritable factors, health conditions, and aging, with a degree of overlap between each of these factors. There are various mechanisms and factors that contribute to infertility, most of which have some type of connection with oxidative damage.

Molecular Determinants of Cancer-Induced Bone Pain
Cancer-related pain is arguably the most common consequences of this disease, significantly reducing quality of life and affecting the ability to complete everyday tasks and live a normal life. Among these, cancer-induced bone pain (CIBP) is one of the most prevalent, presenting as movement-related, constant or most commonly, in combination. Bone metastases can then induce CIBP in several ways, many of which are still under investigation. Indeed, bone is a richly innervated tissue, and sensitive neurons can be found in both the periosteum and the bone marrow.

Modern Environment as New Secondary Cause of Hypertension
The most important risk factor for cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death worldwide, is hypertension. Although most cases of hypertension are thought to be essential, the multifactorial associations of the environmental influence on blood pressure seem to play an important role and should be more closely investigated.

Mobile Mental Health Application
The demand to improve mental quality of life has increased along with the recent increase in interest in and awareness of mental health. Consequently, the concept of mental health services emerged, along with an increased demand to manage mental health using information and communication technology (ICT) such as mobile communication and social network services (SNS).

Mobile Mammography Van in Missouri
Mobile mammography is a tool that has been used to reach underserved women in a diverse number of settings, including urban, rural, and mountain regions. The mobile mammography van, affiliated with Siteman Cancer Center Breast Health Center, acts as part of outreach efforts to increase breast screening rates in medically underserved communities including the St. Louis area (urban) as well as the rural Bootheel region of Missouri. The van reached a particularly vulnerable population that was mostly poor, uninsured, and with limited educational backgrounds regardless of their zip code of service.
