1. Introduction

Mohammad Heydari (Persian/Farsi: محمد حیدری; born 14 August 1992; Tehran, Iran) is an Associate Professor, Scientist and Author.

He obtained a PhD and DSc. in Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (Apr. 2023). His doctoral dissertation was titled “Cognitive basis perceived corruption, and attitudes towards entrepreneurial intention” under supervision of Prof. Dr. Zhou Xiaohu, a master’s Degree in (MBA) from Payame Noor University (Mar. 2016), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Payame Noor University (July. 2014).

2. Achievements and Contributions

His CV presents a remarkable and extensive collection of scholarly contributions, comprising over 176 meticulously peer-reviewed publications (journals, international and national conferences, textbook chapters, and newspaper columns). Notably, this commendable body of work encompasses 49 works that have achieved a listing in the esteemed Essential Science Index (ESI), affirming their substantial impact factor. Furthermore, 15 of these publications have garnered distinction by securing placement among the top 49 journals within his respective research fields, as ascertained by the JCR journal ranking for the year 2023. It is noteworthy to mention that the cumulative impact factor (CIF) of these contributions stands impressively at 88.624, which has been determined based on the JCR rank for the year 2023. Furthermore, his research contributions extend beyond publications, with active participation in 25 international and national conferences and authorship of 50 textbook chapters.

Notably, the research paper titled "Public Health Risk Evaluation through Mathematical Optimization in the Process of PPPs" has received praise from several prestigious institutions. From a young age, Mohammd has demonstrated remarkable proficiency and unwavering dedication to the academic community. This is evidenced by his consistent contributions to renowned ESI Indexed top journals, according to the JCR rankings spanning from 2015 to the present. Mohammd's work has been published in numerous leading journals and international conferences, including International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications (A Leading Journal of Supply Chain Management) [in process], Annuls of Operations Research [in process], the Journal of Cleaner Production, Frontiers in Public Health, Mathematics, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, IEEE, and Journal of Systems Science and Complexity [in process], Taylor & Francis Group/Routledge (CRC Press). His commitment has resulted in the establishment of a significant research portfolio, particularly in the field of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E). His work has been supported by the Graham Munro Charitable Foundation, Wilfrid Laurier University, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, China.

The recognition of Dr. Mohammad Heydari's papers by FAO, WHO, and PAHO serves as a powerful testament to the impact and relevance of his research. This acknowledgment underscores his substantial contribution to the field, showcasing his adeptness in addressing pressing global challenges. These books are utilized as teaching resources in prestigious universities worldwide, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, the University of Oxford, Harvard University, Princeton University, and Imperial College London. Moreover, his books have been indexed in prominent libraries such as the Library of Congress in America and the British National Library. Notably, one of his books has been indexed by the American Psychological Association (APA-PsycInfo)

Mohammad Heydari’s contributions to the field of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) have been pioneering, resulting in numerous national and international accolades and awards. At the age of 31, he attained the status of a permanent position (Tenured) at the School of Applied Business within Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. Unitec Institute of Technology stands as the largest institute of technology in Auckland, underscoring the significance of his achievement in the academic realm. At the age of 30, he became the youngest research fellow at Tongji University (Postdoctoral Fellowship). Before joining the School of Economics and Management / Dept. Management Science and Engineering at Tongji University (Postdoctoral Fellowship), he served as an associate professor of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) in his early 28 at the Business College, Southwest University in China.

His research focused on Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) as follows;

  • Applied Mathematics, Blockchain-based protocols and algorithms, Health Services Research, Health Economics, Optimization Algorithms & Operations Research & Optimization, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Decision Science;
  • Human Resources and Business Administration, Leadership, Industrial and organizational psychology, Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace, and Organizational Behavior and Organizational Studies;
  • Management and Entrepreneurship & Psychology of Entrepreneurship.


Dr. Heydari is a quantitatively trained population and systems researcher focusing on various aspects of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E). His work deploys conceptual, qualitative, and quantitative approaches and methodologies to investigate key issues. His research program articulates many concepts of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E), highlights inequity, advances the measurement of inequity, and promotes public dialogues on these issues. Throughout his career, he has actively pursued a wide array of self-directed learning experiences offered by prestigious universities across the globe. These invaluable opportunities have played a pivotal role in his personal and professional development, enabling him to expand his knowledge and transform his perspective.

For his research achievements, Dr. Heydari has won several prizes. In (2023-2026), he was granted a fellowship 博士后研究人员for advanced research in [Supply Chain Management at Hospitals, Healthcare, Designing Clinical Trials & Practice, and Maritime & Aviation Supply Chain Management] at Tongji University, Shanghai, China [Overall, $126,000]. In (2019) he was awarded the Chinese Outstanding International Student Scholarship recognized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) 国家留学基金管理委员会 [Overall, $4,300]. In (2017-2021), he won the Chinese University Scholarship for Doctoral Students 中国学校奖学金博士研究生, from Nanjing Municipal Government (NMG) Scholarship at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology [Overall, $52,000].
