Dependency Semantics

Edit

Dependency semantics is an approach to linguistic meaning representation in which semantic relationships among lexical elements are represented through dependency relations rather than solely through constituent-based structures or conventional lambda-calculus representations [1]. In this approach, the interpretation of an expression is modeled in terms of relations linking lexical items and specifying how their meanings contribute to the meaning of the larger expression [1]. Dependency semantics concerns semantic representation and interpretation, and is distinct from syntactic dependency analysis, which represents grammatical relations between heads and their dependents.
