Psychosocial Quality
Edit

Psychosocial quality refers to the overall quality of an individual’s psychological and social well-being, functioning, and experience within their social environment [1][2]. It encompasses psychological dimensions such as emotional well-being, self-perception, autonomy, sense of control, coping, and life satisfaction, together with social dimensions such as interpersonal relationships, social support, belonging, participation, and engagement in meaningful activities [1][3]. Psychosocial quality is influenced by both individual characteristics and social conditions, including the availability of supportive relationships, opportunities for participation, social roles, and the broader environment in which individuals live and work [2][4]. It can be assessed through subjective perceptions of well-being and satisfaction as well as indicators of social functioning and participation. The relative importance of different dimensions may vary across individuals, populations, and social contexts. Psychosocial quality therefore describes the psychological and social aspects of quality of life and well-being that shape how individuals experience and function within their everyday environments.
