Post-socialism describes the social, political, economic, and cultural conditions that emerged following the decline or dissolution of state-socialist regimes, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union [1][2]. The concept encompasses transformations in political institutions, economic systems, social structures, cultural practices, identities, and everyday life associated with the transition away from state socialism [3]. Post-socialism is not understood simply as a linear transition from socialism to capitalism or liberal democracy; it also involves continuities, adaptations, and reinterpretations of institutions, practices, identities, and memories inherited from the socialist period. In cultural and sociopolitical studies, the concept is used to examine how socialist legacies are represented, remembered, contested, and incorporated into contemporary cultural life and social identities [4]. Its geographical and temporal boundaries vary across societies, and scholars have debated the continuing analytical usefulness of the term as conditions in formerly socialist societies change.
