1. Electrically Powered MAV

Electrically powered micro air vehicle (MAV) is a hand-held Chinese UAV developed by the Electro-Optical Branch of Southern Subsidiary of AVIC (中航工业南方公司光电科技分公司). The general designer is Mr. Zhu Wen-Guang (朱文光). This MAV is in conventional layout with T-tail and high-wing configuration. Propulsion is provided by a propeller driven by a pusher engine mounted behind the wing. Specifications:[1]

2. FKC-1

FKC-1 is a Chinese unmanned blimp developed by Jingmen (Aviation Science and Technology Co., Ltd. 湖北荆门航空科技有限公司) set up by China Special Aircraft Research Institute, (中国特种飞行器研究所), also known as the 605th Research Institute of AVIC (中国航空工业第六0五研究所). FKC-1 is designed for various industrial, commercial and security applications. Specification:[2][3]

LIEOE UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by Luoyang Institute of Electro-Optical Devices (LIEOE, 洛阳光电技术发展中心) of AVIC. LIEOE has traditionally being a design house for missiles, such as PL-9, and it has recently ventured into UAV arena. The existence of LIEOE developed UAV is revealed to the public for the first time in June 2008 when it made its public debut during the 2nd UAV exhibition held in China (the first one was in 2006) in model form.[4] LIEOE is jet-powered and appears almost identical to Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk,[5] with slight difference in the engine intake: Instead of circular intake of RQ-4, the intake on LIEOE is rectangular.[6] In addition to perform reconnaissance and surveillance missions, LIEOE is also designed to be an UCAV to perform similar missions like that of Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton.[7] In such attack mission, LIEOE UAV is able to carry a total of four missiles, such as those Chinese UAV employed missiles, or missiles of HJ-10 family.[8]

4. Liu Feng 1

Liu Feng 1 (LF-1 or Liufeng, 刘峰) micro air vehicle (MAV) is a hand-held Chinese miniature UAV. LF-1 has deployed by local law enforcement establishment agencies in Heze and other parts of Shandong, but it's not clear if it has been adopted by Chinese military or not, because official Chinese governmental or independent confirmation has not been released yet. Specification:[9]

LT series micro air vehicle (MAV) is a Chinese MAV that was first revealed in the 6th Zhuhai Airshow held in 2006. LT MAV is a flying wing design with twin-tail configuration. However, the fuselage is still clearly distinguishable from the wings as the transition from wings to the fuselage is not smooth, as in other advanced aircraft such as B-2 Spirit. LT MAV is powered by a two-blade propeller driven by an engine.[10]

6. Sky Eye

AVIC Sky Eye (Tian-Yan or Tianyan, 天眼) is an electrically unmanned helicopter designed to be deployed by artillery or rocket round, and this concept is identical to that of BIT Gun-Launched UAV, which is also deployed by artillery round. The difference between the two is that AVIC Gun-Launched UAV is also deployable by rocket round, in addition to artillery round. Furthermore, the AVIC UAV is a micro unmanned helicopter as opposed to fixed wing BIT Gun-Launched UAV developed by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). AVIC Sky Eye is developed by China Helicopter Research and Development Institute (CHRDI, 中航工业直升机设计研究所) of AVIC, and the general designer is Mr. Qiu Liang-Jun (邱良军). Prototypes have been ordered and deployed in Chinese military for evaluation.

The primary mission of Sky Eye is for reconnaissance and targeting. As the artillery or rocket round reached the designated target area with Sky Eye as payload, Sky Eye would separate from the round and drag chute would be deployed to reduce the speed so to the point it is slow enough to deploy the rotors. Once Sky Eye is airborne with its own power, the UAV would begin its search of target such as vehicles or bunkers via onboard camera, and once the target is identified, it would be illuminated by laser. Sky Eye would continue to illuminate the target with laser until the target is destroyed by semi-active laser (SAL) guided missile. After the target is destroyed, Sky Eye would search for the next target and repeat the process again. When the battery is finally out, Sky Eye would self-destruct. Sky Eye gun-launched UAV is offered as a cheaper alternative to much more expensive missiles with search-and-destroy capability, such as Northrop Grumman Brilliant Anti-Tank missile (BAT) because Sky Eye can loiter longer on the battlefield, unlike BAT, which is only good for a short span of flying time, and can only be used once. With Sky Eye, one UAV can provide targeting service for several missiles, so these missiles need not have to be equipped with expensive targeting system of their own. Furthermore, the SAL guided missile itself is much cheaper than imaging infrared guided missiles such as BAT.[11]

7. Soft-Wing UAV

Soft-wing UAV (柔翼无人机) is a Chinese unmanned paramotor similar to MMIST CQ-10 Snowgoose[12] by Xiangfan Hong-Wei Aircraft Co., Ltd. (襄樊宏伟航空器有限责任公司), a subsidiary of AVIC. This Chinese unmanned parameter has been deploy in China for fog disposal/dissipation applications. Specifications:[13][14]

8. TL-8 Sky Dragon

TL-8 (TL= Tian Long, or Tianlong, 天龙, meaning Sky Dragon in Chinese) is a drone developed by AVIC to simulate cruise missile for Chinese military, and it shapes like Tomahawk missile it is designed to simulate. Specification:[15]
