Our work covers the key factors related to increased cardiovascular disease risk found in persons with the chronic multisystem autoimmune disorder Sjogren’s disease. The inflammatory nature of Sjogren’s disease can affect the heart and vasculature and alter the lipid profile. Medications and diet can be employed to treat or prevent cardiovascular disease in persons with Sjogren’s.
