Gender inequality does not solely impact women; it is a societal issue. Debates about reducing gender inequality often revolve around the direct benefits to women and girls. However, the benefits of a more gender-equal world extend far beyond half the world’s population. Society and the economy stand to gain significantly. Economies flourish when women are given the same opportunities as men. Gender equality promotes healthier relationships, reduces violence, and fosters a more cohesive and supportive community.
The study investigates the impact of gender-related aid to 118 countries from 2009 to 2022 on gender inequality.
