Single lamellar crystals of clinoptilolite can be obtained by exfoliation of the mineral substance. The exfoliation process can be simply achieved by applying a shear stress to the natural clinoptilolite stone [1]. Such single lamellar crystals can be technologically exploited to fabricate nano-devices like impedimetric humidity sensors, NTC devices, molecular traps, etc.
