Farm economics refers to the application of economic principles and analytical approaches to the study of resource allocation, production decisions, costs, returns, and management choices within agricultural production units. The concept examines how farmers and farm households allocate land, labor, capital, and other inputs to produce agricultural outputs under conditions of biological processes, market uncertainty, and resource constraints [1]. Farm economics encompasses the analysis of farm production efficiency, input use, profitability, risk management, investment decisions, and the economic organization of agricultural operations [2]. Unlike agricultural economics, which covers broader issues including agricultural markets, trade, policy, and rural development, farm economics focuses specifically on the economic behavior and performance of individual farms or farm households as production units. Within agricultural management and production studies, farm economics provides a framework for understanding how economic incentives, technological changes, and institutional conditions influence farm-level decision-making and resource utilization [3].
