Educational interactions are the reciprocal exchanges that occur among learners, teachers, peers, and learning resources during educational processes, through which meaning is constructed, understanding is negotiated, and learning is supported [1][2][3][4][1–4]. They include verbal, nonverbal, written, and technology-mediated communication in classrooms, online environments, and blended settings [1,2]. Educational interactions are characterized by intentionality (they are oriented to learning goals), responsiveness (participants adapt to one another’s contributions), and feedback (information is provided and used to guide subsequent action) [2–4]. In educational research, the term refers not only to social contact in learning environments but specifically to pedagogically relevant exchanges that influence engagement, participation, conceptual development, and achievement [1–4].
