Dr. Javed Iqbal Bangash is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as Assistant Professor and HEC-Approved PhD Supervisor at the Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Technology Malaysia (2015), where he was awarded the Best Student Award and a Certificate of Excellence for his PhD thesis. He also earned an MSc in Digital Communications Networks (with Distinction) from London Metropolitan University, UK (2008), and a BSc in Computer Information Systems Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar (2005).

His research interests include Wireless Sensor and Body Sensor Networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. He has authored over 45 impact factor journal articles, international conference papers, and book chapters. Dr. Bangash has extensive experience in postgraduate research supervision, having supervised 39 research students who worked on cutting-edge topics in IoT, cybersecurity, and AI & Machine Learning.

He has successfully secured competitive research funding from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan Science Foundation, and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, supporting international conferences and collaborative projects. He served as Conference Secretary for the 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Computing Technologies, Tools, and Applications (ICTAPP 2023 & 2024) and has organized specialized workshops on cybersecurity and emerging digital threats. He is also an active reviewer for leading international journals.

In addition to research, Dr. Bangash has over 15 years of teaching & research experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and proficient in C, C++, Java, MATLAB, and NS2, combining strong theoretical knowledge with practical expertise.

Dr. Bangash has also contributed actively to academic administration, having served as Acting Head of Department, Coordinator for Postgraduate Programs, and Research Coordinator at Abasyn University, Peshawar, and as Coordinator at ICS/IT, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar. He has been a member of various Boards of Studies, Boards of Faculty, Curriculum Development Committees, and Accreditation Panels (NCEAC), contributing to curriculum innovation and academic quality assurance.
