Lina Dweirj was born in 1992. She finished PhD at Western Sydney University, Australia. Her research is titled "A Socio-Translation Approach to the Study of Metaphorical Nuances in Qur’anic Mutashabeh Verses," and explores theological, linguistic, and social dimensions within Qur’anic interpretation. She holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Sydney, awarded in 2017, where she developed strong skills in narrative expression and academic research. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in English Language and Literature from Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Ma’an, Jordan (2010–2014), where she graduated with a GPA of 92.7%. In 2016, she also completed a Certificate in Language Teaching from the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney with High Distinction. Her areas of specialization include socio-translation and Qur’anic studies. She maintains an active interest in creative writing as a means of exploring themes related to faith, identity, and cultural expression.
