Antimatter Quantum Interferometry: History Edit

Quantum interference - and especially single particle quantum interference - is an effect at the heart of Quantum Mechanics: it was first demonstrated with electrons in 1976 with an electrostatic biprism equivalent to a double slit setup. This is the first demonstration that antimatter also shows quantum interference: the experiment has been made in 2018 at the L-NESS Como Laboratory of the Politecnico di Milano with positrons.

The experiment was made at the R. Ferragut L-NESS Como Laboratory of the Politecnico di Milano.
