Molecules of the Week

"Molecules of the Week" is a new project to collect and show the discovery of novel molecules, compounds as well as the researchers' story behind it.

Molecules

1. Project Target

Over recent years the journal Molecules has been providing robust competition for the more well-established journals in the field of chemistry, given that the number and quality of publications have been increasing steadily. There are lots of new compounds reported in this journal. In order to disseminate these novel molecules to be known by more researchers for some further activities or application research, we have created an Entry Collection named "Molecules of the Week". This would be a new way of collaboration among the journal and of high impact for the chemistry community.

2. Entry Content Request

The main idea is to give a short story introducing all aspects of the compound, including but not be limited to: 1. the new concept, 2. the synthesis process (new or more studied), 3. the structure, 4. the activities and bioactivities, 5. The applications, 6. the innovation or originality introduction, and 7. stories behind this compound. Also, the researchers are invited to pick and write a short story about an interesting molecule of their compilation.

Every molecule would be recorded as an entry in this entry collection. All entries could be posted online directly once the author edit and submit them without any fee.

3. Project Committee Team

There is an Academic Editorial Committee team who would check these entries and may leave some comments or even withdraw them if there are any improvements needed or problems there. Committee members are included:
